Thien Mu Pagoda: A revered and active Buddhist monastery established in 1601, stands as an unofficial symbol of Hue. This historical site poignantly displays the car of a monk who, in 1963, self-immolated in Saigon, protesting the South Vietnamese regime’s persecution of Buddhists. A crucial Hue attraction for understanding Vietnam’s history and Buddhist heritage.

Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch we visit one of the royal tombs. Either that of Khai Dinh or Tu Duc’s tomb set among lakes and gardens.
