The Lady Buddha Pagoda, renowned for its towering Goddess of Mercy statue, offers breathtaking views of the Eastern Sea. Situated on Son Tra Mountain’s 12-hectare expanse, it provides vistas of Cham Island to the left and Hai Van Pass to the right. This significant pagoda symbolizes national belief and marks a pivotal point in 21st-century Vietnamese Buddhism.
Embark on a cultural tour to Marble Mountains, a collection of five limestone and marble hills, each named after a natural element. This pilgrimage site, 10km south of Da Nang, is known for its peaks, caves, and temples. The tour includes a stop at a renowned marble workshop, where you can observe the patient and skillful creation of Buddha statues by local artisans.
Museum of Cham Sculpture: Established in 1919 and expanded in 1936, the Museum of Cham Sculpture in Da Nang houses the most extensive collection of Cham artifacts globally, offering a unique historical and cultural experience.
Originally assembled by French archaeologists and experts from the École Française d’Extrême-Orient (EFEO), this significant collection of artifacts saw its pieces dispersed. While select items journeyed to museums in Paris, Hanoi, and Saigon, a substantial number of representative objects remained in Tourane, present-day Da Nang, showcasing the region’s historical richness.
